BIO


Carol Antezana is a Bolivian American Portrait Photographer based out of Northern Virginia. She uses personal experiences about her ancestral roots, trauma and womanhood to create profound bodies of work. She uses the process of self portraiture as an emotional and psychological coping mechanism. Carol is a graduate of The Corcoran School of Arts, where she received her BFA in Fine Art Photography. She completed her Darkroom Residency at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop where she created a series called Mother's Aguayo in 2020. She was part of the Inside Out, Upside Down at the Phillips Collection and her work Las Gringas was acquired by the museum.
